"I do a lot of Eastern European folk art, so my work has a lot of urban folk art. I retell certain stories of the area, or community stories. Just things that are going on that seem to have some kind of relevance. My family's Eastern European, so I've just always been interested in folk art. And I think I've always be heavily involved with community, so it's a pretty easy match for me. When you paint on the streets, then you give people an opportunity to view something for free, and it's for the whole community, it's for the whole neighborhood. It's kind of like a win-win."
